Our elementary teachers are certified in early education with the State of Florida, following the Florida Standards coupled with the needs of our students. Each classroom in grades PK thru 2nd grade has an aide, 1:1 devices with an iPad cart in each room with the latest educational apps infused into the curriculum, ClearTouch interactive board, and the latest Math, ELA, and religion books and workbooks. Students are encouraged to read, integrating Renaissance Learning's Accelerated Reading and Math program, providing the teachers with a diagnostic tool to gauge effective learning in each of the subjects. IXL is also utilized to provide tailored, need-based instruction.
Our religion program prepares the students to receive the Sacraments Penance and First Holy Communion in 2nd grade, with no Sunday School required. Students plan and execute masses under the guidance of their teachers on a weekly basis. Prayer is infused throughout the day in order to center all things on Christ and our Catholic faith.
Highlights of the school year includes: dressing up as a Saint, Carnival, Trunk or Treat, Fall Parade/Festival, Thanksgiving Luncheon, Advent Wreath creation, the Christmas Pageant, project-based learning, Catholic Schools Week, Field Day, Grandparents Day, Saint Josephs Day, Mothers Day, Talent Show, Art, Music, PE, Computer, Library, and Spanish classes and MORE!
