Art Class

From studying artists to implementing famous techniques, our art classes are highly engaging and interactive. Whether you are remote learning or are on-site, Mrs. Jessica Bermudez brings her years of experience teaching art to young minds in such an engaging manner that your budding artists will be empowered to create almost anything.

Computer Class

​Mrs. Michele Burke joined our staff in 2018 bringing with her years of experience in Kindergarten thru 8th grade computer education. Her expertise in Microsoft Office, Paint, and a multitude of additional programs has breathed life into our technology curriculum here at Saint Ambrose. She integrates lessons taught in the classroom supplementing the instruction of the homeroom/subject area teacher. Coding classes, typing skills, and expanding the use of Microsoft skills for all students are just a sampling of computer lessons at Saint Ambrose.

Music Class
Christmas pageant’s, Saint Joseph’s Day and Mother’s Day productions, and school choir, oh my! Mrs. Jessica Bermudez shares her talents with our students in a multitude of manners. From Beethoven to John Williams, our music program incorporates the study of artists, both classic and contemporary. We even produced a virtual Christmas pageant in 2020, for all of our families, friends, and community to share. ​

PE Class

Physical Education has become even more important in 2020. Saint Ambrose students have PE twice a week, learning team sports such as hockey and basketball, and fun games such as the bean bag challenge. COVID quarantines brought us back to the basics, with burpees, push ups, and scavenger hunts to keep us moving. Coach Sean McKeown lights up the fields and Zoom with the smiling faces of our students. He also coaches team sports such as basketball and flag football.

Spanish Class

All students, from Pre-K 3 through 8th grade, are educated in the foreign language of Spanish. As of the 2020-2021 school year, Spanish is now considered a core subject, and students receive instruction two times per week. Our instructor, Mrs. Liliana Lowe, leads the younger students through songs, games, and direct instruction. Students in grades 3rd grade thru 8th grade receive interactive instruction both virtually and in person implementing Google Suite for Education and Seesaw. Middle school students have a textbook curriculum in order to facilitate their eventual succession into high school Spanish.
Our Spanish program is comprehensive and progressive as we prepare our students for their acquisition of this vital second language.
