Welcome from Our Pastor
|
I would like to personally extend a warm welcome to Saint Ambrose parish and school. Our community is filled with friendly faces and open arms to all new parishioners, students, and their families. We are truly blessed to be able to partner with our families on their journey as they educate their children in the Catholic faith. Attending a Catholic school is only one facet of the education within the Catholic church; regular Sunday mass attendance is a vital experience in our faith as it builds the community in Christ and demonstrates the faith formation of service and belonging within our faith.
As parents, you are the primary educators of your children in fostering their spiritual growth. We provide the tools and the opportunities, and you facilitate their development. Saint Ambrose School provides our children with the opportunity to prepare and participate in the sacraments of Penance, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. We celebrate mass as a school on a weekly basis during school hours and rejoice when we see their eager, smiling faces with you, on the weekends. With Men’s Club, Women’s Club, Bingo, Carnival, and our very own Food Pantry, we offer a faith and service-based community for you and your family to walk with Christ with your time, your talents, or even your treasures. Welcome to Saint Ambrose! |
Welcome from Our Principal
Mrs. Lisa Dodge, Ed.S.
Principal
Dear Saint Ambrose Families,
It feels like just yesterday I was first blessed with the opportunity to serve as principal of Saint Ambrose Catholic School—but that was twelve incredible years ago! From day one, I was welcomed into this community, and together, we embarked on a journey to overcome challenges and build an even stronger foundation. Our shared goal: to create a school where every student could truly flourish, grow in their faith and love for the Catholic Church, excel academically, and always feel safe and cherished.
With all my heart, I can say that leading this school is both an honor and a profound privilege. My 20 years of experience, crossing both the Archdiocese of Miami and the public school system, have reinforced a simple truth: when parents, students, and educators share a common vision, amazing things happen. Our dedicated faculty and staff embody this every day, going above and beyond in their vocation to create a truly Catholic learning environment, inspired by the enduring gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe learning is a lifelong adventure, and that spirit infuses every corner of our community.
At the very heart of our learning community is our vibrant Catholic identity. A Catholic education isn't just about academics; it's about centering our lives on the teachings of Jesus Christ, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and values they need to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the world. We believe every child is a unique creation of God, gifted with special talents and individual needs that we are here to support and celebrate. As someone who personally benefited from Catholic schools, and as a parent whose own children experienced this incredible blessing, I truly understand the paramount significance of a Catholic education here at Saint Ambrose. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing our alumni return, sharing their life's successes and proving the lasting impact of their time with us.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet prospective families looking for a community to call their own. Welcome home to the Saint Ambrose family! And to our cherished returning families: welcome back! We are so thankful for your unwavering support and partnership in nurturing your children in our beloved Catholic school.
